Inspired in 2003, Sherpa Adventure Gear begun as a dream to support the heroes that brave the journey of Mt. Everest as companions to most individuals who make the daunting ascent. Even though the expenses paid by most people to climb Mt. Everest are in the thousands, little finds its way into the community of Sherpa's and they often live in impoverished conditions.

Through Sherpa Adventure Gear, many Sherpa's are employed as testers, artisans, and office workers as one of the many steps this company is making to improve living conditions. In addition, they also put a portion of its profits into a fund supporting the children of Sherpa's.
